The river flows strong. The power of water moves onward.
Stream, lake, river, and sea—this is the path of water.
It carves a deep channel through marsh and forest.
Water sees and hears everything, holding it in memory.
The stoat darts into its burrow
The crane sings in the marsh
The spruce reaches toward the sky
Then the current continues its journey. Along its banks, time stands still.
There it was again—did you hear it?
You can sense it everywhere. The wind hums in the pines,
the undergrowth rustles in the fells, and the sky above
sings in soft tones.
The North is calling.
—Elina Antila
Pohjoisen kutsu, Call of the North is a tribute to the Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture year.
Pohjoisen kutsu print, designed by Elina Antila, was created in honor of the Oulu2026 cultural capital year. It draws inspiration from the history of the Oulu region and the nature of Northern Ostrobothnia. Within the print, you may discover familiar places such as the Tähtitorni´s cafe and traditional red storehouses, as well as the regional bird, the crane, and the regional animal, the stoat.
This page brings together all products featuring the Pohjoisen kutsu print in one place. Perhaps you’ll find your new favorite garment or something beautiful to brighten your everyday life.

The merino wool and cotton knitwear is designed and knitted in Finland. Other products in the collection are made in Estonia.
